My School Morning Routine

Hi everyone!

In today’s post, I’m going to be sharing my normal morning routine for most of my weekdays. I was homeschooled for about seven years of my life, so during that time, I would usually get up between ten and eleven and go to bed around midnight. Over the past year-and-a-half since I started “normal” school that has definitely changed. Now, I try to get up around five and go to sleep at nine.

I actually really enjoy getting up early, though. It’s an opportunity to have some time to yourself before everyone else wakes up. It’s usually still dark, and you can do whatever you’d like — read, make breakfast, take a shower, spend time with God . . . it’s pretty awesome in my opinion. The only hard part is waking up!

A Week of School Outfits

Hi everyone!

I’ve seen a lot of people do this type of post where they share different outfits that they normally wear to school, and I thought it would be fun to do one of my own this week! So I kept track of all the outfits I wore and then took pictures of all of them at the end of the week.

In most of my outfits, I’m wearing sneakers or flats, even though there’s a ton of snow on the ground. That’s because I usually wear boots outside and then change into the shoes I actually wanted to wear when I get into the school building. šŸ˜‰

Why I Love Journaling // My Journal Collection 2020

Hello everyone!

I’ve been journaling from a young age, but I just got into it consistently about a year ago, and I love it! It can seem intimidating at first, but once you get into it, it’s actually really fun.

Something that helped me be able to journal consistently for so long is only writing when I feel like it. I don’t force myself to write every single day or about every single detail; only highlights or interesting days. This definitely helps you to stay motivated and enjoy writing. Another thing that helped me was personalizing and decorating my journal. I like to add receipts, pictures, stickers, and notes from my life to the pages. Doing this helps it feel personalized and less just like WORDS and nothing else, which can get boring after a while.

Journaling has definitely helped me a lot. Looking back on what I’ve written in the past year, I can see what I’ve been through and the growth that has come with that. It can be easy to forget where you’ve come from, so it’s nice to be able to look back on who you used to be. It’s also just nice to be able to get your feelings out and not have to care what other people think or who’s going to see it since it’s only for yourself.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend it. Even if you’re not a writing person, there are question a day journals that take literally minutes and can give you almost the same benefits.

With that being said, I wanted to show you guys my journal collection! I have a LOT of unfilled ones (it may or may not be a slight problem), but hopefully, that will change if I continue this hobby! šŸ˜‰

My Top 5 Reads of 2019

Hello everyone!

It’s a little past the New Year by now, and we’re already looking ahead to 2020, but I thought it would be fun to take some time to look at my favorite books that I read in 2019. I like to do this every year, as a way to reflect on what reads have impacted me the most.

This year I didn’t read as much quantity-wise as I usually do, but I did read a lot of good books. I have started to stop pressuring myself to finish something I’m not enjoying, and only read things I like or have a desire to finish. I think this new outlook on reading will definitely carry on into the next decade!
