Summer Bucket List

Hi everyone!

Summer is here, finally! I officially finished school for the year about a week ago. I love making lists, so I made a list of some of the goals I have in mind for this summer. I’m hoping I’ll be able to find time to complete most of these!

I’ve been at home so much recently, but I haven’t gotten as much reading done as I would like. I feel like I’ve been turning to screens too much to cure my boredom instead. I want to do a lot of summer reading while I have the time, so my goal is to read at least 10 books within these three months. (That will hopefully catch me up on my reading challenge, as well.)

I would love to go to the ocean at least a couple times this year. My state doesn’t have much shoreline, but the beaches it does have are really nice. It’s a lot of fun!

I used to love writing, but I haven’t done much of it in a long time. Recently, though, I came up with an idea that I’m enthusiastic about, so I’m hoping to get at least 10,000 words of it written before the end of the summer. Even if nothing ever comes of it, I think it will be good for me to exercise my creative writing skills.

I am taking Algebra II next year, and I’m quite nervous. I’ve heard it’s much more difficult than Algebra I, which was okay for me. So I thought, in order to prepare myself, why not try the Algebra II course on Khan Academy? I think it would help my future GPA out a lot.

There are a lot of things around the house my family has been wanting to get done, but we never had time during the school year. I’m hoping to complete all those organizational tasks. 🙂

There we go! My summer bucket list for 2020! I’m excited about these next few months, even though it will look different than in the past. 🙂

Do you have any summer goals? Are you going to the beach at all? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading!

  1. What a great list!! Going to beach is also on my list😂👌 I took Algebra 2 this year and I didn’t find it too bad. I really liked algebra( geometry was the worst) and algebra 2 was even more fun. It can be a bit challenging but nothing impossible. I think going on Khan is a great idea and I always do that for a class I’m scared of( I did it for physics and chemistry).

  2. Great list, and good luck on completing it.
I just recently got back into writing, actually. It was pretty fun.
Yay! The beach. Is it weird that I’ve always wanted to learn surfing?
If you’re looking for something to get you out of a reading slump, I’d suggest something by Margaret Peterson Haddix. Her books always end in cliffhangers so you’ll want to read the next one.
