Summer Adventures (or: What I’ve Been Doing on Hiatus)

Hi everyone!

Wow! It’s been a hot minute since I last posted. It’s been a crazy busy summer for me. I thought I’d share some of the fun things I’ve been up to with you guys!

  • My friend came to visit

In July, one of my best friends, who lives thousands of miles away from me, flew in to spend a week with me! We met online years ago and have taken turns visiting each other since then. We had a blast seeing the sights, shopping, and just hanging out.

We went up to the mountains for a few days during the trip. SO FUN! I couldn’t help but thank God for His glorious creation and that we had the chance to experience it.

  • I went on vacation

After my friend went back to her own state ( šŸ˜¦ ), I headed off to Upstate New York for a vacation! We rented a cabin on the St. Lawrence River and got to see family there, as well. I love it up there — it’s gorgeous and peaceful. All you do all week is fish, read, and swim. It’s the perfect respite from a normally busy life. šŸ™‚

  • Volunteering at summer camp

I also volunteered at a couple summer camps throughout the summer. They were day camps for kids. The other volunteers and I would run the day camps and also teach kids about the Gospel through stories and songs. It was a lot of fun building relationships with the kids and with the other volunteers, and seeing God work in the kids’ hearts.

It was crazy busy, but I had a blast anyway! Now I’m back and ready to start posting on the blog again, and reading your posts, too!

What have you done this summer? Anything fun/exciting? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading!
