School is starting soon — in a little less than two weeks for me. It feels unreal that summer has gone by this fast! We are going back in person, which I am glad about. It will be nice to see friends every day and have a little more structure in my week.
I always like to start the academic year off with a few goals that I want to try to meet. I thought I’d share them with you guys here!
Summer is here, finally! I officially finished school for the year about a week ago. I love making lists, so I made a list of some of the goals I have in mind for this summer. I’m hoping I’ll be able to find time to complete most of these!
My birthday was back in April. I had a good time celebrating with family, even though it was in quarantine, and people bought me some great gifts. I thought it would be fun to show what I got in this post!
Just a disclaimer that I’m not trying to brag — I just enjoy seeing other people’s birthday hauls and I thought it would be fun to do one of my own. 🙂
I didn’t get around to posting this until over a week after April was actually over, but . . . shhhh. 😉
April was a fun month. It’s my birthday month, and I also had Spring break during the last week. It’s a bit hard to come back to reality, though. Only four more weeks of school, but it will feel like an eternity!
So as some of you might know (I’ve mentioned it on the blog before a few times), I gave up social media for Lent this year. It was about 47 days of no Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, VSCO, Goodreads, or Pinterest.
I did this last year as well, but I kind of failed. My willpower gave out about halfway through. I really wanted to try it again this year and commit! So that’s what I did. I learned a lot of things throughout this challenge, so I thought I’d share some of the them with you guys!
If you’re like me, you’ve been at home all month. When my extroverted self heard the news that my school was switching to remote instruction, I died a little inside. What am I supposed to do with no social interaction besides my family for so long?!
The break hasn’t been as bad as I thought it would be. On day who-knows-what of not leaving the house, I’m a little stir crazy, but I’ve been able to do a lot of things I normally wouldn’t be able to do with school still in session — especially since this quarantine happens to fall during Lent, so I can’t use social media or watch YouTube like I normally would be.
Are you looking for things to do while you’re quarantined? I’ve compiled a list of some things that I’ve been doing to stay sane! 🙂 Hopefully some of them look like fun and will inspire you!
It’s been a pretty crazy month, hasn’t it? With the COVID-19 outbreak and stay-at-home orders, schools being cancelled, and stores being shut down, it’s pretty hard for people.
I think it definitely is good in a way, though. It provides time to relax and take a break from the business. When we come back to school or work, we’ll enjoy it a little more because of the long break. It teaches us to rely on God more, too. We aren’t in control, but He is, and He knows what He’s doing.
Anyway, this is what I’ve been doing with my free time this month! 🙂
Anyone who knows me knows I’m a very organized person (or at least I try to be!). I love planning out my days and weeks and knowing exactly what I need to accomplish before it’s over. This is especially helpful because as a high school student, I’m always super busy! It seems like I always have something going on or a school project that’s due. I know that applies to a lot of people.
Over the past few months I’ve made a system that has really helped me and worked for me, so I thought I’d share it with you guys!
I used to do this annual “Recently” series on a couple of my old blogs, and I thought since it’s technically the end of February (I’m a little late) I’d do one of those for this week’s post. It’s just a way for me to look back on the month and see what I’ve gotten accomplished. Since I’ve just gotten back into blogging, I don’t have many pictures, but hopefully in the future I’ll have more of those, too.
I’m adding a bunch of different categories for all of my different interests — of course, the staples such as what I’ve been reading, listening to, and watching, but also some others. 🙂
